Back home for more then a week and it already feels surreal. The whole trip to South-East Asia has been like a dream – come true. High time for a big fat flashback report, also to reassure myself it did in fact all happen, with a whole bunch of pictures to prove.
Because a three month travel brings along tons of highlights, I decided to divide them into four diary’s, one for each country I’ve been in. Starting off with Thailand.
The past three weeks I spend in Thailand might already count as the most adventurous weeks I have ever had. Not only because of the completely different culture I find myself in, but also because of the wildlife experiences. I already challenged myself to sit near wild monkeys – who look adorable on photo but tend to be a bit scary in real life – and took the plunge – literally – out in the ocean to see some of the colorful fish. I found myself to be a bit more of a daredevil than I thought before.
The upcoming weeks there won’t be a whole lot of fashion on ModedAmorie, but don’t worry there will be when I get home in a few months. In the meantime I’ll try to update you on my travel adventures every once in a while and share my most favorite places around here. Just in case you’ll ever want to visit Asia, who knows – maybe I’ll get you exited.
No more knits and scarfs for me the upcoming three months. In two days from now, I imagine myself at a crisp white beach in Thailand. And while it feels extremely weird to be packing for a summer destination in a big chunky sweater, I do feel that I’m quite ready for my three month trip to asia.
I’m always at my happiest wearing knits. You can imagine how I must feel right now, wearing multiple knits at once. If we leave out the shoes, it would probably be my most comfortable outfit. My motto: the bigger the knit, the better.
When the days get longer, darker and colder, I usually opt for an all black ensemble. For one because I missed wearing black all summer, but also because black is my comfortable color. However, a few weeks ago I did mention that I was stepping out of this comfort zone by wearing something a bit more colorful. Today I want to show you how to not wear black this winter.
